The world's largest free-standing museum is devoted to the art of glove-making. Located in a former children's glove factory erected in 1900.
World-renowned master glovemaker Daniel Storto [also known as 'The Last Glove Maker of Gloversville'] lectures about the history of gloves worldwide and has curated a historical visual experience into the world of gloves dating as early as the 1600s with a collection of gloves, images, tools, machinery, and ephemera.
Visitors can observe Mr. Storto at work as he crafts each pair of gloves commissioned by the most famous and fashionable people from all over the world.
The museum is specifically for scholars, educators, and curators. And students interested in learning the art of glove-making. Including an extensive research library beginning with the history of gloves from the glove capital of the world in Grenoble France.
We offer extensive glove-making classes using historical tools originating from France, Great Britain, and Italy.
Be inspired, and expand your mind.
Honor the past, and create something new.
